Central Industrial Security Force is an armed paramilitary force established by Ministry of Home Affairs to safeguard the industrial sector of India. It was set up under the parliament act and headquartered at New Delhi. Currently CISF providing security for more than 300 public sector companies and central government industries, it also offers security for private industries by providing consultancy service. As of now, it has an active human force of 165 thousand; this number is going to be increased by 200 thousand in next 2 to 3 years. As an initial process of increasing strength CISF has released a vacancy notification for constable post. Applications are invited from reserved category candidates in a prescribed format as mentioned in the official notification. Applicants must possess 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognised board, along with this a typing skill of 35 words per minute in English and 30 wpm in Hindi is desirable.
Upper Age Limit:
Minimum of 18 years and a maximum of 25 years is the age limit for general category candidates. However, this constable recruitment is for reserved category and for Ex Servicemen. So the age limit is 3 years relaxable from upper age limit for OBC category and 5 years for SC/ST applicants. The age will be considered as on 1st August 2012.
Applied candidates will be invited for written test, a written test will be conducted for 100 marks within a duration of two hours, getting a pass mark in written exam qualifies the applicant for physical test. In the physical test, measurements will be taken and based on the measurement they will undergo physical efficiency test. Further the skill test of typing on computer and medical examination will be carried out.
Only OBC category candidates need to pay an application fee of Rs.50/- by means of Indian Postal Order drawn in favour of particular centers which belongs to your region, this details are mentioned in the official notification below.

Interested candidates may download the application format from the official notification. Fill it with necessary details and send it in an envelope. Along with this application, the attested copies of necessary certificates, application fee IPO, two self addressed envelopes and two self attested photo should be enclosed in the envelope. Send this envelope to the "DIG of CISF", centers which belongs to your region before the last date.
