Everyone knows Lok Sabha, which is the House of the People otherwise, the lower house of the Parliament of India. Lok Sabha consists of members representing each of the parliament constitution of the country. The secretariat of Lok Sabha has issued a recruitment notification that mentioning various vacancies in the lower house of the parliament.

According to the notification there are around 96 vacant positions in the disciplines of security assistant and clerk. Each position refers different eligibility criteria and education qualification to apply for any particular vacancy. The detailed eligibility criteria and the age limit are mentioned in detail below, interested aspirants who possess the eligibility can apply in the prescribed format as instructed in the official notification.

Lok Sabha Secretariat Vacancy Details:
  • Executive/Protocol Assistant - 04 posts
  • Security Assistant Grade-II (Technical) - 52 posts
  • Security Assistant Grade-II (Ex-Servicemen) - 02 posts
  • Junior Library Assistant - 15 posts
  • Junior Clerk - 23 posts
Academic Qualification:
Applicants must be a graduate for the post of Executive Assistant and for the Technical Security post you must possess any degree in science relevant courses (B.Sc). For the library assistant vacancy candidate must be a graduate in Library Science (B.Li.Sc) and for the clerk post the qualification is any degree with a typing writing proficiency of 40 words per minute in English or Hindi is mandatory.

Upper Age Limit:
The upper age limit for all posts is 27 years, except the Ex-Servicemen Security Assistant vacancy. The maximum age limit for this vacancy is 45 years. The age limit will be considered as on 15th March 2013. Relaxation in age is applicable as per government rules.

Recruitment Process:
Selection process consists of two stages of written exam that are Preliminary and Main exams. Followed by that Security post applicants will be invited for physical test and personal interview for others.

Pay Scale:
All posts comes under the pay band two with a salary of Rs.9300-34800/- per month along with a grade pay of Rs.4200-4600/- pm. As an exception the clerk post will be getting a salary of Rs.5200-20200/- pm according to the pay band one.
