TNPSC Group 4 Exam Syllabus and Exam Pattern in Tamil and English: On July 14th of this year, Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission issued a notification indicating vacancies in Group 4 Services. This notification describes the availability of vacancy in various designations and stated the online application process clearly for the written exam. Candidates who are applied for this exam will be hurry in their preparation process. Exam Syllabus for Group 4 Exam:
The minimum required education qualification for this exam is 10th class pass, so the questions asked in this exam will be from tenth standard level. Syllabus for this exam states seven different portions from where questions will be asked. These portions are,
  • General Science
  • Current Events
  • Geography
  • History & Culture of India & Tamil Nadu
  • Indian Polity
  • Indian Economy
  • Indian National Movement
  • Aptitude & Mental Ability Test

Education Qualification:
A small section provided in the official notification itself describes the exam pattern, to make it more elaborate; we discussed about the group 4 exam pattern here. The entrants will be provided with two questions papers one the exam hall, one contain the questions in English and the other contain questions in Tamil. Candidates can choose either Tamil or English, but the first section in both question papers will be same.

The total duration of the Exam is 3 hours and it comprises 300 objective type questions which carry one mark for each. The first 100 marks will be from General Studies, and the remaining 200 questions will be asked in either English or Tamil.

Among the 100 marks for General Studies section, first 75 questions are from 10th class level and the remaining is the Aptitude. These will be asked in a bilingual format of both Tamil and English.
