Power Grid CorporationPower Grid Corporation of India Limited is a public sector company involved in the generation and transmission of electricity. It is one of the largest Transmission Utilities in the world with the total transformation capacity of 138,673 MW. In recent times PGCIL expanding its network in various regions, this cause the implementation of new projects. Recently it also diversified its business into Telecom sector to lay the fibre optic network across the country. This technical and innovative growth and expansion in company makes lack of human resources. To manipulate these shortage PGCIL recruit employees on contract basis to engage them in the newly implementing projects.

PGCIL Available Position Details:

  • Field Engineer – 52 posts
  • Field Supervisor – 108 posts

Academic Qualification:
As an educational eligibility for this job, candidates with B.E/B.Tech, AMIE or B.Sc (Engg) in Electronics and Communication Engineering is eligible for Field Engineer job and for the other vacancy Diploma in the same engineering discipline is required. However, the qualifications must be obtained from a recognized institution or institution with a minimum of 55% marks.

Required Experience:
A post qualification experience of one year in the relevant field from any well established public or private sector company is necessary for both of these vacancies.

Age Limit and Relaxation:
Candidates must not be more than 29 years of age as 28th Feb 2013. Relaxation in age is available as 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST category candidates. Person with disabilities can make use of the age relaxation as per existing rules.

Recruitment Process:
Applications will be shortlisted according to the academic qualification and experience. Based on these criteria a list of applicants will be prepared and invited for personal interview. The final selection takes place on considering the performance in the interview.

Consolidated Salary:
On the first year of contract Engineer post gets a consolidated salary of Rs.30000/- and for the other post Rs.23000/-. During the second year of contract the salary will be Rs.33000/- and Rs.25500/- for both vacancies respectively.

For the Field Engineer post Rs.200/- and Rs.100/- for the other post has to be paid by means of Demand Draft drawn from any State Bank of India branch in favour of “Power Grid Corporation of India Limited” payable at Hyderabad. No need to pay fee for reserved category applicants.
